COMPANY HISTORY
We were incorporated in Malaysia as a public limited company under the Act on 29 September 2004 as an integral part of our Listing Scheme. We are principally involved in investment holding, provision of management services and general trading. Our wholly-owned subsidiary company, SRHB is a provider of NGTS that provides telecommunication system architecture and design, next generation network solution as well as telecommunication related software solutions.
Set out below is our historical milestones:-
Silver Ridge Holdings Bhd group of companies commenced operations in 1995 with the founding of Silver Ridge Sdn Bhd. This company was among the pioneers in telecommunication subcontracting services involving design, installation, testing and commissioning of cellular networks for Maxis and Motorola
With Motorola trained expertise and skills, Silver Ridge Sdn Bhd emerged as one of the leading entrants into the telecommunication system architecture and design of mobile telecommunication systems. This involved the implementation of mobile telecommunication infrastructure, ancillaries for mobile telecommunication network, DC power systems and microwave mini-links for mobile telecommunication systems.
Silver Ridge Sdn Bhd successfully ventured into turnkey projects involving Radio Frequency solutions for Maxis and Motorola. In addition, SRSB ventured overseas in the development of Global System for Mobile Communications for Motorola in Ghana and for Siemens in South Africa.
Silver Ridge Sdn Bhd’s technical expertise and technology solutions were further enhanced with a partnership with Motorola to implement total cellular solutions for TM Cellular Sdn Bhd in 2001-2003. SRSB completed its 1st EiQ solution for Sabah.
Silver Ridge Sdn Bhd further diversified their telecommunication solutions with the addition of software development and the establishment of a Research & Development Division. The R&D Division focuses on the development of applications for the telecommunications industry.
Silver Ridge were awarded the 3G contract from Telekom Malaysia, deploying the new 3G network infrastructure across Malaysia.
In line with plans for expansion, Silver Ridge Holdings Bhd was formed as a public limited company on the 29th September 2004. The principal activities of SRHB are investment, holding provision of management services and general trading while the subsidiary, Silver Ridge Sdn Bhd, continues to supply Next Generation Telecommunication Solutions.
Silver Ridge Sdn Bhd implemented 3G networks and provided total end-to-end solutions for the roll out of 3G telecommunications for Telekom Malaysia. SRSB secured a cellular solutions optimisation contract in Surabaya, Indonesia.
On 21st July 2006 Silver Ridge Holdings Bhd was listed on the MESDAQ Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. SRHB was further awarded 3G Phase II projects from Telekom Malaysia worth RM123 million.
The Company was awarded multiple MSAN & DSLAM 5-year maintenance contracts by Telekom Malaysia across the region between 2008-2010. Also awarded CPE Configuration System project for Telekom Malaysia, including supply, commissioning and comprehensive maintenance. Partner with SIAE Microelectronical to expand support capabilities.
Awarded Managed Service and Comprehensive Maintenance contract by V-Telecom Sdn Bhd
Silver Ridge were awarded their first contract by Celcom; supplying high-speed broadband installation and maintenance around the Klang Valley. This successful relationship continues to this day, with Silver Ridge frequently partnering with Celcom to deliver high-quality services to their customers.
Silver Ridge were awarded their first contract from Huawei, providing installation, testing and commissioning services for their GE Aggregator under Telekom Malaysia. This relationship continues to be productive with Silver Ridge completing projects and delivering world-leading telecommunication solutions for Huawei.
Silver Ridge were awarded their first contract with Tenaga Nasional Berhad, providing cover for Preventative Maintenance for ICT Regional Operations. Silver Ridge continue to work with TNB with the ongoing deployment of smart meter projects.
Silver Ridge branched into digital content when partnering with local publishing company Danalis to set up several pilot eLearning schemes in rural parts of Malaysia.
Silver Ridge continues to diversify our capabilities by offering a range of SMART/SAFE solutions for both the home and city councils, partnering with several local governments and developing townships around Malaysia. Partner with Celcom to provide a number of SMART solutions for the upcoming Kwasaland development.
In the last ten years, the Silver Ridge group has completed multiple 4G projects and contracts for providing high-speed broadband to tens of thousands of houses around the country. We remain one of the most dependable end-to-end solutions providers in the Malaysian Telecommunication arena. With these new technologies new opportunities have arisen, allowing us to offer more than installing & maintaining data services.
We currently offer a range of SMART solutions to both service providers and local councils that improve the way they engage with the general public; streamlining processes and offering a new way of living that was impossible without the new standard of data services. We are grateful to the Ministry of Education for being able to take part in multiple pilot schemes, bringing new learning techniques and technologies into rural schools using the new generation of data infrastructure. We are excited to see how these ‘Connected’ projects continue to improve lives in remote areas and look forward to what other possibilities the future will reveal.
Currently, our Group boasts a total staff strength of 90 employees of which 50 are qualified engineers, IT professionals and skilled technical personnels specialising in the area of telecommunication.
Our Group is currently working closely with our technology partners in providing telecommunication solutions as well as telecommunication related software solutions. To date, we have established a long-term relationship with MNCs such as Huawei, Motorola and ADC
